Who says you can't be in two places at one time???
With videoconferencing and live streaming video, it's a cinch!
You and your students can experience being in your classroom and with us in Charleston on September 26 and 27 for the fall EstuaryLIVE. Learn all about this live, interactive webcast at www.estuarylive.org.
If you'd like to see some enterprising teachers and students using videoconferencing to collaborate on curricular projects and learn 21 st century communication skills, check out these two L2L videos from the Reading, Writing, and Thinking Across the Curriculum Elementary course:
Mini-Documentary 1: Writing for a Real and Virtual Audience.
Mini-Documentary 2: Art-Making for a Virtual Audience.
Thanks to Carlann Scherping from Saluda School and Rose Throckmorton from Rural Hall Elementary for enabling their students to be two places at one time with their innovative use of videoconferencing. |

Welcome to a new school year! A time for our students and ourselves to reinvent ourselves as we meet new people and encounter lots of new possibilities for learning.
L2L is reinventing itself, too, We're welcoming all the USDLC courses to our space online so don't be surprised to find a long list of possible "mini-courses." USDLC is also implementing a new registration program so if you don\'t see a long list and get a "no programs" message, please email Sandy at slaplante@mindspring.com. Sandy is busy re-registering all of our previous users to this new system and just has not reached your name yet.
We also have a new space on YouTube at www.youtube.com/usdlc.Check out our new Literacy to Learn video to see samples of our videos.
We hope you will bring L2L to your new school year as a valuable resource for 21 st century professional development. Enjoy your school year and all of the possibilities it brings ;-) |
